Univ. Grenoble Alpes in the top 50 most innovative European universities

Within the Reuters rankings of the top 100 most innovative European universities, Université Grenoble Alpes and Grenoble INP rank respectively 28th and 46th in Europe (5th and 9th in France). Grenoble INP ranks 1st amongst the French engineering schools.
Published on 25th of April, 2018, this “innovation” ranking refers to “the educational institutions doing the most to advance science, invent new technologies and power new markets and industries”.

The first university in France, Montpellier, ranks 16th in the European ranking. Univ. Grenoble Alpes stands out as Université Grenoble Alpes appears within the first third, in the 28th position. Grenoble INP, 46th in the ranking, is the first French engineering school.

The press agency Reuters highlights the success of Univ. Grenoble Alpes, such as the recent discovery by our researchers of the enzyme responsible for the tubulin cycle, and the close collaboration with research organisations such as CEA, CNRS and Inserm.
With respect to Grenoble INP, Reuters puts the emphasis on the 21 research laboratories and the close cooperation with industrial partners, as well as international relationships, such as the agreement signed in 2017 with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
